My Philosophy
While creating aesthetically pleasing products is a large part of what I do, the end-goal is always the same: engage the user. While the market is rich with a wide range of flashy spectacles, bright colors and dancing typography—we often forget the process designers go through to get said end product.
It takes tons of research, careful planning, prototyping, critiquing, revisions, field testing, more revisions, more critiquing, presentations, another round of revisions—probably more field testing—you get the idea.
We do all of this heavy lifting to make your everyday products work, not for the designer, but for you—an actual human being. In other words what I do, as a designer, is use every bit of empathy at my disposal to solve a problem for people. Design is for people.
